A Model 1938 Deutsche Volkspflege Führer Dolch. The bright blade on this one looks good. It retains a nice and bright mirror like finish. It retains a perfect tip and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates an Exc+. It has all its' crossgrain and a few dots of age. The original black leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard looks excellent! It remains dent free and retains 98%+ of its plating. Both throat retaining screws remain intact. The zinc based, nickel-silver plated crossguard and pommel are both in excellent condition matching the scabbard in color and condition! The medallion on the crossguard has fine vaulting to the swastika on the bird's chest and the cross in its talons. The brass based, nickel-silver plated pommel screw cap has been turned and is a bit chewed up. The orange/yellow trylon grip is in perfect condition remaining completely crack and chip free! Nicely finishing this is an original portepee. Overall this is a great piece.
