A tired blade with good crossgrain but staining and oxidation I have not tried to clean. This is beautifully etched A. W. Jr. Solingen and has a perfect tip. The blade rates a Exc. There are a few fingerprint stains. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail throughout with the hand enhanced bands and random pebbling throughout. The scabbard retains its original single throat retaining screws and remains completely dent free! The unique Wingen crossguard is crisp with beautiful details throughout especially to the eagles wings, talons and wreath. It is silver plated with an excellent finish. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. The trylon has a chip at the top under the portepee and a couple wee hairlines at the ferule. It has some dirt to its crevasses but that's about it. This one also comes with the original but well worn portepee! A great price.
