A Deutsches Fahrer-Abzeichen 3. Klasse Bronze 1930 by L. Chr. Lauer Nurnberg, Berlin. The bronze, third class grade was awarded for breeding and testing german thoroughbreds. The oval shaped obverse features a man riding a horse encircled by an oak leaf wreath with an encircled “R” (Reiter - Rider) to the bottom. The hollow back reverse is maker marked: “L. Chr. Lauer, Nürnberg” and “Gesetzlich Geschützt”. It also features a soldered on flat wire catch, soldered on block hinge and flat wire pin. All of which are in well working condition. It measures 1 5/8 inches wide by 2 inches tall. A nice one!
