A DRL-Sportabzeichen in Bronze. The bronze grade DRL badge was awarded to men and women between the ages of 18-32 who passed five parts of national fitness test within a 12 month period. It is constructed out of a die struck bronze base that has been bronze washed and burnished. The oval shaped obverse depicts a centrally placed “DRL” in stylized letters which is surrounded by an oak leaf wreath which is tied together at the bottom with a ribbon and swastika. The reverse correctly displays a; soldered on block hinge, soldered round wire catch and flat wire pin. It is also marked “Wernstein Jena" and "D.R.G.M. 35269". It measures approximately 1 ½ inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall. A great piece! It measures 1 ½ inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall. A great piece!
