Wow what a find! Here we have a Luftwaffe Officer brocade belt and buckle in the original box! The buckle is a die struck/stamped, aluminum based construction with sliver wash. It depicts a pinned "droopr tail" eagle on a pebbled background that is surrounded by an oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The buckle is attached by two square rings to a long quality ribbed, woven bright silver/aluminum construction brocade belt. The belt has two vertical grey lines with a central small red line. The belt has two sliding vertical loops. The reverse is lined in a grey/blue twill and has six length adjustment grommets. There are a few small moth holes to the interior and edges. The exterior is in excellent condition! The belt retains beautiful gilding and frosting. The buckle is wonderfully detailed throughout the eagles wings, head and wreath. The correct textbook brocade belt is in excellent condition and has a blue felt interior. This will fit comfortably up to a size 32-inch waist. It is in the original black cardboard issue and storage box. An excellent example that would be a prized piece in your collection!
