Early 1st Model Luft by SMF

I was just talking with someone the other day saying that people don't even know what's good anymore! This in my mind is the most desirable 1st Luft you can buy! You can have those shiny aluminum daggers and give me early all nickel ones every day of the week! Here's exactly what I'm talkin' about right here. The plated blade on this one looks good! The "SMF Solingen" etched maker mark is nicely executed just below the waffen amt mark. It has a good mirror like finish to with along with a solid fit and perfect tip! It rates an Exc++ with minor wear from the runners. It retains its original blue pebbled buffer pad. The early blue, pebbled leather covered scabbard looks excellent! About 95% leather coverage remains intact, with a perfect seam! There is one notable sres of leather loss just above the lower filling to the back edge. The solid nickel fittings show wonderful age patina and match the hilt in color and wear. The solid nickel chain is in excellent condition. It has 9 upper ringlets and 12 lower, ending at a well working solid nickel clip! The solid nickel hilt looks great! All four separately inserted brass sun wheel swastikas are beautiful! The wood based, blue leather grip has aged quite nicely. It retains its perfect nickel triple wire wrap. A really great early SMF example for the discerning collector.
