ReichsKriegsFlagge by Lorenz Summa Söhne of Oberkotzau. It is constructed out of a red, white and black printed cotton linen base. The obverse depicts and off centered black mobile swastika on a white roundel with four black/white strips running through it and a black pattée style cross to the top-hoist corner. The reverse depicts a mirror image of the obverse. The hoist end has a stitched on, white cotton re-enforcing edge that has a rope running though the length of it which is looped to each side. It also has red rectangular re-enforcement pieces to the hoist corners. The edge is marked in black ink and reads: “Kr.Fl. 80 X 135” (Kriegs (War) Flag and the size) along with the manufacturers mark and location: “Lorenz Summa Söhne Oberkotzau”. The fly end has been folded over and stitched together. This piece is in wonderful condition and is nicely marked. The ONLY criticism I can say about this flag is that there are a few dots of rust stain and a wee pull in a thread, hard to see but if you look real hard you can find them. It measures 80cm tall (31 ½ inches) by 120cm long (47 ¼ inches). A beautiful piece!
