A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/10 1938 - J.A. Henckels of Solingen. The sharpened bowie style modified blade on this one has a ncie look to it. The stamped Zwillingswerk “RZM M7/10 1938” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! It has a solid fit and a sharp tip. The blade rates Exc+. It shows sharpening, age grey and surface scratches throughout. The original black leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition! The paint is 98% intact and it remains completely dent free! The dark brown folded over leather strap is marked “LFS” and retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work well! The leather is in excellent condition! The hilt is constructed out of a steel base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating remains in excellent condition, being 97%+ intact. The two black checkered, bakelite grip plates are tightly secured to the hilt by two nickel-silver rivets. To the center obverse of the grip has a beautiful HJ diamond with 99%+ enamel remaining! An excellent piece!
