A Restored - Model 1934 SS H. Himmler Honor Dagger by Carl Eickhorn. These were granted to members of the SS who took part in “The Night of the Long Knives” or later to those who displayed high loyalty to H. Himmler. Restoration work: The fittings, crossguards, pommel nut and blade (with an attempt to not touch the motto, inscription and maker mark) have all been cleaned, the scabbard body has been re-anodized and lacquered, the grip has been repaired of all of its cracks and chips and has been re-finished. The grip is original and not textbook for this piece IMO. The scabbard remains dent free. The ball looks as though it had a small bruise and was fixed. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguard is bench marked “8”. The eagle has nice detail! The SS runes retains 99% of its enamel. Himmler Honor Daggers are quite desirable and I’ve seen textbook ones sold for $20,000. Here is a great opportunity to get one at a fraction of the cost!
