A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by RZM M7/27 - Puma (Pumawerk Lauterjung & Sohn) of Solingen. The blade on this one is gorgeous! The acid etched “Alles für Deutschland” motto and “RZM M7/27” maker mark are dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain wonderfully shines against the light, running the full length of the blade! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates an easy NM-. It shows the slightest spotting and runner marks. The scabbard is steel based and brown painted. It shows minor spidering and hits from the hanger yet it continues to remain completely dent free and retains 98%+ paint coverage! The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings are in excellent condition, retaining 98%+ plating coverage. The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws are tightly secured. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect. The crossguards are zinc based and nickel-silver plated. They show minor age bubbling and plating thinning. The brown hardwood grip looks excellent as well! It has the typical pressure marks and a hairline crack above the roundel. No chips or flakes. The copper eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel is retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! It comes with the appropriate well working hanger. It is missing its slide. A very nice RZM example you will enjoy!
