A Short - Wehrmacht Extraseitengewehr by Alexander Coppel of Solingen. The fullered 7 3/4 inch plated blade on this one looks good. The stamped “Alcoso ACS Solingen” maker mark is beautifully executed! The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight. The blade rates Exc++/NM. There are surface scratches throughout. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks good. It retains 90%+ of its original paint coverage. It continues to remain completely dent free. The frog lug remains intact and the ball remains perfectly round. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated hilt looks great as well. It retains 90%+ of a plating coverage. The push button continues to work well. The grip plates are black checkered bakelite and are secured to the hilt with two steel rivets. There is a slight crack above the obverse rivet. This one comes with a Yugoslavian Mauser M1948 Bayonet Frog.
