A Model 1937 - Reichsfinanzverwaltung Dolch für Landzoll-Beamte by E. & F. Hörster of Solingen. This is the second time I’ve owned this one. Remember if you’ve ever purchasing an item from us we are always buying! Here is the description: “This piece has been professionally cleaned and scabbard re-leathered. The cleaned and re-crossgrained blade on this one is nice and bright. The acid etched “E. & F. Hörster Solingen” maker mark looks good. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight. With a mirror like finish, the blade rates Exc. The leather buffer pad has been replaced. The steel based re-leathered scabbard was very well done. The three aluminum based slanted scabbard fittings show the correct chased line approximately 5mm in from the front scabbard fitting edges. The throat is integral to the upper fitting as we see on 95% of these. The scabbard continues to remain dent free! All three headless screws are there. The scabbard fits snugly up against the hilt. The aluminum based and silver washed upswept Customs eagle shows beautiful detail! The aluminum based, silver washed ferrule and pommel also show the same beautiful craftsmanship, with the proud oak leaves and acorns throughout. The grip has original leather matching the scabbard perfectly! It is correctly and tightly springy wire wrapped. A great restored example at a fraction of the cost!”
