Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

Here we have an Early Model 1933 SA Dagger (Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch) by Gerb. Grafrath of Solingen. The blade on this one is looks great. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and maker mark are crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain shines quite nicely in the light and can be seen the full length of the blade. The fit and tip are both perfect as well! The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It has the commonly seen surface scratches, age spotting/grey throughout. The steel based, brown repainted scabbard is looks great. When it was repainted, who knows when, by who or where. It has some small hits and wee marks. You can feel with your fingers. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great. The ball has a small push to the bottom. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped "Wm". The solid nickel crossguards match the scabbard fittings in condition, color and age patina. The brown hardwood grip is in decent condition. There is some small fine hairlines. The solid nickel eagle has excellent detail and a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A good looking piece at a good looking price!
