Early Anton Wingen Jr. SA Dagger

The bright blade on this one has some age spotting and has been repointed leaving it 5mm short,(total length 215mm). It has been cleaned. The fit is nice and tight. The dark acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Anton Wingen Jr. Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The blade rates a solid Exc. The brown anodized scabbard looks good with good smooth finish with no oxidizing. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are good with a good hit to the ball. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard/crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards are in near perfect condition, matching the scabbard fittings in color and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Wm". The grip / crossguard fits are poor and I believe the grip is a replacement, by who, when , where I have no idea. The brown hardwood grip has chips, cracks and splits! The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel.
