I like these interesting variations. Blade motto is beutifully executed nice and dark making for a good display. The reverse has been polished hard and unit stamped,"PH 1/173" Just above this you can see the remnants of the RZM marking ".../38." very light. Reviewing my archive my best guess this was "RZM m.7/52/38.". That is my best guess. Scabbard-original plated fittings with wear and some plating loss. The scabbard body is straight and the original paint is 97% intact with some spidering. The ball is later zinc and perfect with just a bit of plating loss. Scabbard fits the blade like a glove! Handle-is a well fit medium hardwood setting off a nickel eagle. There is a wee chip to the lower left obverse. The SA enamel is fine. A nice RZM with some interesting features.
