2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger

A M1937 Fliegerdolch from the Vet's family! The unmarked blade on this one has some clouding. It also has a perfect tip and solid fit! Overall the blade rates Exc/Exc+. The tan leather buffer pad looks to be a replacement. The steel based dent-free airplane grey scabbard looks good! It is nicely detailed with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns throughout. Look at the upper scabbard band, see how it was put on up-side-down? There were Mondays in the Third Reich too! The throat retaining screw remains intact. The burnished aluminum based eagle crossguard looks awesome! It is beautifully detailed throughout the eagles feathers, wings and top side embossed acorns and oak leaves! The steel ferrule and burnished aluminum pommel are also both nicely detailed and all quite nicely matching the scabbard. The wood based celluloid covered grip is chip[ and crack-free. The double twisted wire wrap is in perfect condition and has a nice and tight fit. Nicely finishing this is a very decent portepee.
