A nice and completely matching 2nd Luftwaffe Dagger! The blade on this one looks excellent. The two crossed keys maker mark is beautifully executed! It has a nice crossgrained finish to it, with a solid fit and perfect tip. The blade on this one rates a solid Mint-. Now, just to provide full disclosure here, a horde of unissued pre-1945 Herder blades were discovered after the war and Johnson sold them off. Some are always suspicious that these are the result of replacement blades. Who knows. If this might bug you move on to the next listing. The blued pebbled leather buffer pad remains securely intact. The steel based nickel silver plated scabbard looks good! It depicts good details throughout, with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. it is dent-free. The reverse domed throat retaining screw remains intact! The hand enhanced aluminum eagle crossguard and pommel look awesome! The eagle has amazing detail to its head, feathers, wings and top side oak leaves and acorns. The early trylon grip has aged to a nice orange over time. The grip is in wonderful shape! No issues. The springy wire wrap remains tightly intact. Nice!
