Earliest SA Dagger by Eickhorn

Please note this item is no longer available and you were redirected to our Archives.

Early Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Eickhorn from The Vet's family. This piece would have been among the preliminary Eickhorn production of SA Daggers! The blade on this one has minor age. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and large double oval "Carl Eickhorn C.E. Solingen" maker mark are both nicely executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+. It has never been cleaned and shows age greying and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks good! It only shows oxidization spotting throughout but no dents. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great, the Lower being benchmarked "7". If you disassemble this your will find the guards to be internally marked "EW", but pls don't this is a rare virgin, never been apart. The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf" (Westfallen). The light brown multi-toned grained hardwood grip has no chips or flakes but does suffer several hairlines. The solid nickel eagle looks great and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 90% of its enamel. A great early SA dagger! One that would fit in perfectly with your collection!
