1st Class War Merit Cross w/o Swords by L15

Here we have a complete 1st Class War Merit Cross without Swords! It is made of a tombak base that has been die struck and silver washed. The obverse depicts a centrally placed wreathed swastika on a pebbled maltese style cross. The reverse shows a full back with a flat wire soldered catch, soldered block hinge and coke bottle shaped L15 marked pin. Nice example by F. Orth. Many people have a hard time with the "L15"s as some of the EK1's are Flochs/Austrian Fakes though the infamous "Austrian Faker" never manufactured any reproduction War Merit Crosses.
