It is constructed out of a die stamped bronze base that has been burnished. The rhombus diamond shaped obverse features an encircled centrally placed rad emblem of an upright spade shovel head with two wheat sheaves come out of it, on top of a mobile swastika that has a pebbled background inside the arms, and reads: “Ehrentag Des R.A.D. Gruppe 213 Waldbröl 1936” to the exterior. The hollow back reverse features a horizontally soldered on pin assembly that remains in well working condition.
