Panzer M43 Trapezoid Cap Insignia

A M43 EM/NCO - WH-Panzer Mützen Abzeichen. Introduced May 1943, this insignia is intended for wear on the M42 overseas and M43 field caps. It is constructed out of bevo machine embroidered cotton thread to a black rayon backing. The obverse depicts a grey Panzer open winged eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons, above a tri color cockade all on a black trapezoid and rectangular backing. It measures approximately 2 3/4 inches wide by 2 1/8 inches high. A nice unissued piece!
