A Vaulted - SchutzStaffel Schirmmütze Adler by SS 475/42 RZM. It is constructed out of an injection molded zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed and lacquered. The obverse features a left facing SS eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons. The hollow back reverse is maker marked: “SS 475/42 RZM” and features three aluminum flatwire prongs that have all been cut off. It measures 2 1/2 inches wide by 1 ¼ inches tall. Purchased from the veterans family.
