A Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by RZM M7/51 1939 - Anton Wingen Jr. of Solingen. The blade on this one looks bright. The “RZM M7/51/39” maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed. It has a perfect fit and sharp tip. The blade rates Exc++. The blade has been sharpened and heavily cleaned. he original blackend leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks wonderful. It retains 96%+ paint coverage and remains dent free. The folded over blackened leather strap retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work well! It shows only minor age crazing throughout. The hilt is constructed out of a steel base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating remains in excellent condition, being 96%+ intact. The two black checkered grip plates are in great condition and secured with two solid aluminum grip rivets. To the center obverse of the grip is a HJ diamond with perfect enamel. A good piece!
