A Model 1938 Deutschen Rotes Kreuz (DRK) Führer Dolch. Wow here's one for someone looking for a complete rig! Just purchased from the Vet's family as is. The blade is a beauty with full crossgrain. Just a bit of age spotting but that's it! Rates Exc++. The ricasso has been nickel-plated as these always are, and the blade is unmarked (just as it should be). The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The nickel plated hilt fittings are in great shape, having only a tiny bit of plating loss but really not too bad at all. Look at the crossguard roundel, see how the background is textured! Nice and really highlights that eagle! The pommel screw cover is near perfect. The dark orange grip is perfect. It's a bit loose bit I do now want to start messing with this so i will leave this to you. The scabbard plating coverage is easily 98%. There are no dents or splits but a bit of oxidation that I have NOT tried to clean. Both throat screws remain intact. This piece rates a solid Exc++. Included is a set of hangers. These came with the dagger. They feature die struck buckles, back clip and bands are made out of an aluminum based construction. All three clips function well! It doesn't get much better than this.
