Here's a nice prize! A Heer 4 year long service on a parade mount! This award is made of a die stamped steel base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a national closed winged Heer eagle, clutching a swastika in its talons, below: "Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht" (Faithful Service in the Wehrmacht). The reverse depicts a stylized "4" encircled by an oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the top and bottom. To the top of the medal is a loop and ring which fastens the award to the parade mount. The parade mount is steel base and covered with stitching by a folded blue ribbed rayon ribbon. There is a pinned on steel Heer eagle, clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons just above the award. The silver wash has nicely aged. The tombak prong, catch and hinge are all in well working condition! As is the steel pin! A nicely detailed example on a parade mount!
