Ok so this is rough. It feature a deep navy doeskin wool body, a light blue velvet centerband and Feuerschutzpolizei carmine wool truppenfarbe, (Branch of service color), to the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the centerband. The internal wire stiffeners are lost to time. The center has a polished nickel 1st pattern, police eagle encompassed by a vertically oval oak-leaf wreath. These normally has the eagle on the center band with a cockade above that, so I expect the insignia was added by someone. When, who, why I have no idea. Here is a textbook example. So, don't like it? take it off and toss it. The cap has a black visor. The interior crown of the cap is lined in beige/tan oilcloth. The crown lining has a maker mark you can see under the celluloid sweat diamond. The interior of the cap also has a wide tan sweatband fully intact. The cap is in overall poor condition with repairs and mothing. Cap is about a size 57 or 58.
