Early NSDAP Schirmmütze für Politische Leiter der Ortsgruppenleiter Herseteller 65. 1934 pattern. The visor is constructed out of a ribbed light tan cotton tricot and light blue (hellblau) piping. Attached to the obverse is a die stamped, nickel-silver based first pattern NSDAP cap eagle. There is no cockade nor any evidence of there being one. The front also features the early lacquered visor peak. To the sides are two peened on multi piece nickel-silver pebbled side buttons that hold the silvered interwoven chin cord in place. The interior features a tan sweatband (which may have been re-stitched) along with a brown cotton lining. The eagle's prongs are visible to the interior. Underneath the sweatband is a brown/white oilcloth RZM tag that is maker marked “65”. There are a few moth nips throughout. An early cap!
