A Model 1933 Sturmabteilung Dienstdolch by Jacobs & Co. Solingen-Gr., two line company name and RZM M7/118 double TM. As stated on page 225 of The Sword And Knife Makers of Germany 1850-2000, Volume I by the late Anthony Carter, [this trademark was used]. on later SA and SS examples and HJ knives...". The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto is somewhat lightened from cleaning. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point! traces of crossgrain remain visible. The blade rates Exc. It has darkened and MAY clean brighter. The dent-free dark brown scabbard has good paint with a small chip to the reverse. The nickel plated steel based fittings have some evidence of fine scratches, like someone used a brillo pad to clean them, 99% plating remains intact. The ball is perfect and all four screws remain intact! The nickel plated zinc based crossguards suffer some fine bubbling but again 99% of the plating is there. The brown hardwood grip is chip & crack-free. The aluminum eagle is beautifully detailed with a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. Nope not perfect but it's rare and exactly as it arrived.
