A first war German “Verwundetenabzeichen”; oval stamped silvered non-ferrous metal, the obverse with a Stahlhelm in the center superimposed on crossed swords within a wreath of laurel leaves with a tied bow at the bottom; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin and a functional hinge/catch assembly; unmarked; measuring 43.70 mm x 38.27 mm
