A small version - Militärverwaltung Belgium and Northern France Badge. This would have been worn by civilian members of the military administration. It is constructed out of a two-piece die stamped/molded nickel-alloy based that has been silver washed and contains black, white and red enamel work. The obverse features a German national eagle with out-streached wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons above a red, white and black oval border. The exterior black oval section reads: “Militärverwaltung Belgein und N. Frankreich” (Military Administration Belgium and Northern France). The semi-hollow back reverse has a horizontally soldered on rectangular shaped plate that holds a pin hinge and catch assembly. It remains in well working condition. The back is also numbered: “3723”. It measures approximately 2 inches wide by 1 1/8 inches tall. There is minor enamel repair and cracking. Military Administration in Belgium and Northern France.
