Here we have an unmarked Summer Tunic Navy Officers Breast Eagle. It is constructed out of a die stamped zinc alloy base that has been gold gilded. The obverse features a Kriegsmarine eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika within its talons. The hollow back reverse has a sheet metal hinge, soldered round-wire catch and the pin is lost. There is a soldered flat wire prong behind the swas. It measures 3 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/8 inches tall. Much of the finish has been absorbed.
