A Special Badge for Single-Handed Tank Destruction, Gold Grade. The gold tank destruction badge was awarded to soldiers who single handedly destroyed five enemy tanks using a hand held weapons (hand grenade, panzerefaust, satchel charge, etc.). Patinaed magnetic tank, with crisp details, superimposed on golden tight interwoven braid, edged with two black rayon stripes on top and the bottom, wool backing is lost to time; a textbook example, in unissued condition, a scarce and very desirable badge .
