The plated blade on this one looks good! The "Paul Weyersberg" etched maker mark is nicely executed. It has a good mirror like finish to with along with a solid fit. It rates an NM with minor wear from the runners. It has lost 40% of it's buffer pad to time but peek there and you can see an assembler's number. They did this on early peices. The blue, pebbled leather covered scabbard looks good 99% leather coverage remains intact with a few scuffs. There is some rubs and wear areas as a result of period wear. The solid aluminum fittings show wear. The aluminum chain is in excellent condition. It has 6 upper ringlets and 7 lower, ending at a well working clip! The solid nickel hilt looks great! All four separately inserted brass sun wheel swastikas are beautiful with most of the silver remaining between the "legs". Look at the factory lacquer! The wood based, blue leather grip has aged quite nicely. It retains its perfect brass triple wire wrap. So normally we expect to have a nickle based scabbadr with this early dagger. This got switched at some point for a later scabbard. Regardless nice example at a great price.
