Here we have a cased 13 March 1938 Commemorative Medal (Austria). The award is die struck, early, tombac based and silver washed. The obverse depicts two unclothed men (one has a chain around his right wrist, the other is holding an NSDAP flag on a pole) that are standing on a pedestal that shows a Heer eagle. The reverse reads: "13. Marz 1938 Ein Volk Ein Reich Ein Führer" (One People, One Empire, One Leader). The silver finish is worn to the high areas. Attached to the ring is approximately 3 inches of red, black and white folded ribbon. To the back of the ribbon is a brass pin, with original stitching. The medal is stone mint. The case is made of wood and pressed cardboard with a simulated, grained, red, leather covering. It remains in good condition with scuffs and some stain and a well working button and hinge! An excellent piece! Now's your chance!
