Direct from the Vet's family, never been in a collection. I purchased this from the Granddaughter and I do have the Vet's name that I will provide to the purchaser. Here we have a combat worn M35 helmet that is in unaltered original condition. The shell continues to be in great shape. It has good paint with a light green Camo finish. Just above the decal is the words, " One Less Nasi". Oh my. There are some areas of scuffs and scratches, exactly what one expects to see on a worn example but no dents. The decal is in fine shape with wear consistent with the shell. To the inside to liner continues to retain its original liner. The liner is dry and surface cracked to some areas but it's all there. I see no size stamp. The liner has honest stains but no tears. It has some age/sweat toning. The marked chin strap is intact but has a crack. The inside is marked "ET64" and lot number "71". To the reverse the Obergefreiter has written his rank, and last name in beautiful cursive script, "Ogfr. Sisel". Luftwaffe unit (L 55555, Lg (or Lga for "Luftgau") Paris). Here is HQ of II. Jagdkorps based close to Paris between Sept. 43 and Aug. 44, then Belgium then Germany. Thanks for that interpretation, Mbm! I expect this is the, "Dead Nasi" the GI was referring to. So this is a unique one of a kind example with enough info so that you can research it!
