The 31.5" blade rates Exc having stain and pitting towards the tip. There are no "nail catchers. I've not tried cleaning this. The tip is quite original. The blade is marked with Weyersberg early single oval stamp. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The black enamel painted scabbard is dent free. It has minor age crazing and the odd scuff but I would say the paint is still 95%. The top fitting is secured by 2 unbuggered dome screws. The lower fitting has all it's original plating and retains burnish to the backgrounds being secured with matching screws. The wire wrapped grip is in good shape sporting the correct large officer size police insignia. There is some wear and normal rubs to the hardwood grip but no cracks or chunks missing. The cast ferule is well detailed showing burnishing to the backgrounds. Look at the small details here guys, see the drilled tip at the end of the quillion? Gotta love it!
