Early NSKK Dagger by Ehr. Reich

An early model 1933 NSKK Dagger (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Dienstdolch) by Ehr. Reich of Schweinia. This one rates 9 out of 10 on McSaars SA rarity scale! The blade on this one looks good despite some age. It's been cleaned but some crossgrain remains. The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and maker mark are nicely executed. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates a Exc+. It shows the common spotting throughout. The black period repainted scabbard body looks good. It has 30% of it's period repainted finish remaining with the brown SA anodized finish underneath. It has normal bumps and wear but no dents. The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in super shape! They match in color, age and patina. The ball retains its round shape. All four screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Mi" (Mitte). The light reddish hardwood grip is beautiful nice with a few flakes to the reverse. It has the odd pressure mark. The grip / crossguard fits are good. You can really see the quality put into these earlier examples! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel.
