A good looking piece! The 9 11/16 inch long, single fuller, plated blade on this one looks excellent! The stamped "Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed. The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates NM. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based painted scabbard looks great. It shows some minor oxidization and spidering yet it remains completely dent free! A throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The alloy based, plated hilt looks good. The platting is retained at 99%. The black checkered bakelite grip plates are in near perfect condition. Both plates are tightly secured to the hilt with steel rivets. The button continues to work well and there's a red felt plug in the mortise slot. This comes with a brown frog that has scuffs. It could use a brown show polish treatment. A great uncleaned example
