Rare Bayonet! The blued blade on this one rates Exc++. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is perfect! The blade is stamped "cof" and is waffen stamped. It remains unsharpened and with smooth edges. The grip of the blade is made of riveted bakelite plates, which are in excellent condition. No cracks are present. The bayonet lug attachment mechanism is in perfect working order. The tool kit is in near mint condition. The multi-tool is retains 99% of its original bluing. Each of the three tools, knife/can opener, screwdriver/wire stripper, and pick, are in unaltered condition and function perfectly. The knife/can opener is marked with “LTK”. The tool kit snaps into the handle of the blade appropriately. The scabbard of the SG42 Bayonet is made of bakelite and a steel belt clip. The bakelite sheath is in near mint condition, with no cracks or chips present. The steel belt clip is pressed into the throat of the scabbard.
