Horster 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger

Here we have a M1937 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger (Fliegerdolch) by E&F Horster of Solingen. The polished blade on this example has finger print stains. The fit is nice and tight! The blade rates Exc. The dent-free scabbard is an airplane grey example with good detail and the throat retaining screws remain intact. The aluminum crossguard and pommel are nicely detailed and remain in good condition, nicely matching the aluminum scabbard bands. The celluloid based grip is also in good shape having normal period wear. The ferrule has some oxidation. The double twist brass wire wrap remains intact.
