A Model 1934 - Sturmabteilung Ehrendolch mit Widmung by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. Ernst Rohm Honour Daggers were granted to members of the SS and SA who either had interrupted service since December 31st 1931 or those who transferred from the Hitler Youth prior to that time. After the Night of the Long Knives, Röhm was declared a “traitor” and removal of the inscription was mandated. To have the full inscription was against Hitler’s command, making this dagger an incredibly rare and desirable piece among the collecting community…

The blade on this, is one looks great. The entire “In herzlicher kameradschaft Ernst Röhm” motto is completely intact and is positioned exactly where it should be. The “Alles für Deutschland” motto and serrated tail “Carl Eickhorn Solingen” maker mark are all beautifully executed! The crossgrain looks great as you shine it in the light. With a perfect fit, the blade rates Exc++. The tip is dulled and is 6mm short, it also shows surface scratches and minor spotting throughout. The steel based brown anodized scabbard is in wonderful condition! It remains completely dent free and holds the majority of its original factory lacquer. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look wonderful! The ball is perfectly round and all four screws remain intact. The crossguards look wonderful as well matching the scabbard fittings in color and patina. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped “Ns” (Niedersachsen). The crossguard / grip fits are near perfect! The brown grained hardwood grip is in wonderful shape! It has the odd pressure mark but that’s it. No cracks, chips or splits. The solid nickel eagle has excellent detail and a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 99% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit. Gorgeous matching patina throughout. A great opportunity to purchase a highly desired Full Ernst Röhm SA dagger.
