A Transitional Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by WKC of Solingen – RZM M7/42 1936. The blade on this one has been cleaned and suffers age, it's stamped “RZM M7/42 1936” and knights head “WKC Solingen” maker marks are all dark, crisp and beautifully executed. There are portions of the motto remaining. It has a solid fit and a sharp point. The blade rates Exc+. The black leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The period steel-based scabbard has been recently re-painted. It remains dent free. The folded over leather strap retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work well! The brown leather is in good condition! The hilt is constructed out of a zinc base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating remains in excellent condition, being 95%+ intact. The two black checkered bakelite grip plates are in wonderful condition and secured by two solid nickel-silver rivets. To the center obverse of the grip has a HJ diamond with 96%+ enamel remaining. A fine piece.
