German WWII > Belt Buckles > Army >
A worn Army Belt Buckle that is marked 'B&N 43'. It is constructed of a single piece of die struck steel that has been green painted. The obverse roundel depicts a closed winged Heer eagle griping a mobile swastika in its talons on a smooth round background. The eagle is above a half oak leaf and acorn wreath that is tied together at the bottom and is underneath the Heer motto reading: "Gott Mit Uns" (God with us). The wreath and motto are both in front of a decorative lined type pattern which is encircled by two twisted ropes. The roundel lies on a smooth rectangular backing. 97% of the green paint remains, it's just worn where the high areas are.
