1st Model (1934/35) Airforce Dagger (Luftwaffe Fliegerdolch) by Carl Eickhorn. The plated blade on this one is bright and clean. It's been cleaned and the tip is perfect. The maker mark itself is nicely executed. The fit remains nice and tight. The blade rates Exc++. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The original blue, pebbled, leather scabbard body remains in excellent condition! It has the odd pressure mark/scuff yet it retains 100% coverage and has a perfect seam! The aluminum scalloped scabbard fittings remain nice and bright. The fittings are tightly secured with all five original screws! The aluminum chain has 9 lower and 6 upper ringlets that ends at a well working "Ges. Gesch. OLC" marked clip. The hilt looks good! The four sun wheel swastikas show perfect gilt in that textbook Eickhorn muted color. The grip leather remains in good condition retaining its' triple aluminum wire wrap. Could you ask for more?
