A nice piece! The portepee consists of; a flat strap, interwoven free slide, metal alloy based stem, crown and ball. The portepee is wood based and wrapped in a white cotton cloth and twisted silver/aluminum wire threads. The stem is covered in a meshed silver/aluminum wire which reveals the metal alloy base. The slide is made of interwoven black, red and silver/aluminum wire thread. The strap is black cloth based with interwoven red and silver/aluminum wire thread. The bottom has a flat recessed hole that shows thick interwoven black, red and white thread. It has the odd loose thread to the edges yet is in wonderful condition! Just the piece you've been looking for!
