A M1937 Fliegerdolch. The blade on this one looks good. The crossgrain is stunning as you shine it in the light. The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates Exc/Exc+. It has age grey throughout and it looks as though the tip has had some heat put to it at some point. The buffer pad continues to remain intact. The scabbard is steel based and airplane gray finished, with aluminum bands. It has several hits throughout and the tip has some dents. It depicts nice detail throughout with the random pebbling, oak leaves and acorns. The single throat retaining screw remains intact. The aluminum based crossguard looks excellent with nicely detailed burnished backgrounds. The eagles head, feathers, wings and top side embossed oak leaves and acorns are all beautiful. The steel ferrule and burnished aluminum pommel both look excellent. The white celluloid over plaster grip is in excellent condition. It has the odd spot, yet no cracks or chips. The springy aluminum wire wrap remains tightly intact. A good piece.
