Here we have a completely correct 1st pattern Eickhorn Model 1935 Army Dagger (Heer Dolch). The tapered tang blade on this one has a dark and crisp acid etched early double oval "Original Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! The blade has some age and evidence it's been cleaned. The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates a solid Exc+. The brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The non-magnetic brass based and nickel-silver plated scabbard is in good condition! It suffers minor wear and a couple small hits to the back. The original throat retaining screws remain tightly intact. The nickel Eickhorn 1st pattern crossguard provides good details throughout the straight head, wings, wreath and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with the proudly displayed oak leaves and acorns! The deep brown grip is damage-free being one tone darker to the obverse as time and UV light has worked it's wonders. Included is a well worn set of deluxe hangers with the desirable horseshow upper fitting. These are frayed and have wear similar to the dagger.
