A rare - Earliest/Early Model 1933 Hitlerjugend Fahrtenmesser by Gebr. Lützenkirchen of Solingen. Based on construction this knife can accurately be dated to 1934. The early blade on this one looks great! The acid etched “Blut und Ehre!” motto is faint yet still nicely visible. The stamped knife cutting an anvil “Gebr. Lützenkirchen Solingen” maker mark and rarer encircled “Ges. Geschutzt” mark are beautifully executed. The fit continues to remain nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc+/Exc++. It shows age grey/spotting and surface scratches throughout. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black re-painted scabbard is in nice condition. It shows some pitting that has been painted over and it remains completely dent free. The brown scabbard leather looks good. A wee piece missing to the right of the female snap portion. The snap continues to work well. The iron based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 95%+ of its plating. The grip plates are black checkered bakelite and remain in excellent condition. Both nickel-silver rivets remain tightly secured. The medium HJ diamond retains 99% of its enamel. A rare and very early Hitler Youth Knife you are sure to be happy with!
