DAF-Plakett - “Ehret die Arbeit und achtet den Arbeiter”. It is constructed out of a die cast aluminum allow base that has been black and red enamel painted. The rectangular shaped obverse features: three workers; a blacksmith (in front of an anvil), an architect/scholar, and a farmer (in front of a plowshare), all on a pedestal with the DAF emblem (a red mobile swastika encircled by a black cog wheel) above “Ehret die Arbeit und achtet den Arbeiter” (Honor the work and respect the worker) in black Gothic style scrip, above “Adolf Hitler” and surrounded by a black border. The semi-hollow back features a central hanging mount, and reads: “Gesetzlich Geschutzt Nachamunchen Werden Strafredchtlich Verfolgt Reichsvertrieb. Fried. Stodt. Hannover”. Minor hits. The top-right corner is ever so slightly bent. It measures 12 13/16 inches wide by 19 3/16 inches tall. A unique piece!
