Here we have a textbook model 1935 Wehrmacht Heer Dolch by F.W.Holler of Solingen! The bright blade on this one looks great! The crossgrain is stunning as it runs the full length of the blade! The fit is perfect and the tip comes to a sharp point. The dark and crisp, acid etched "F.W. Holler Solingen" maker mark is beautifully executed! The blade rates Exc++ The original large brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, silver plated scabbard provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling throughout and hand enhanced oak leaf and acorn bands! It has a small dent to the lower obverse. The original throat retaining screw remains intact an unturned! The alloy based, silver plated Holler eagle crossguard provides beautiful details throughout the eagle's head, wings, wreath, beak and chest. The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The crossguard, scabbard, ferrule and pommel all match in color, plating, patina and age wear. Just the way you want to see them! The multi-toned orange, trylon grip on this one has some small chips to the pommel fit, I have pulled the porteppe back to show you. Included with this is the original hangers and portepee it arrived with. One portepee rope was broke when it arrived. I repaired that.
